Video, it’s all the rage these days. I see the biggest names in social media using it, the brick and mortar businesses, as well as solopreneurs really making video work. So what’s the deal with video, why all the buzz?
What’s really important to us in this new relationship era we live and experience every day? Whether it’s personal or professional we want great information, quickly and from reliable sources. Videos are a great avenue for this!
Even if your camera shy you can do video! Here’s 4 video types that you can start creating right now and use for your business.
Talking Head Video – It sounds silly but I see these more and more. These are the videos you watch of someone’s face or upper body. It’s them raw and transparent. You really get to know the person and it leaves a powerful impact.
Video Tip: You can add text through the video to emphasis important pieces.
Screen Capture Video – These are videos where you record what you’re doing the computer screen, like a walk-through. I’ve recording videos for clients on how to use a tool, or where to find something on Facebook.
Video Tip: Create a product demo video for your launches. Send a behind the scenes email to your list to get them excited about what you have coming!
PowerPoint Presentation Style – These are popular for teaching segments. Be sure to make them fun to keep your viewers attention. These are really nice for teaching systems and processes.
Video Tip: Brand your video with a logo overlay in the corner. Now when someone embeds your video the viewer can look you up for more training.
Screencast / Talking Head Combo – Sometimes combining the force of two video types can provide great results for the viewer. If you’re teaching a specific tip you can introduce the topic then switch a few slides with bullet points for easy note taking. Then switch back to you to close the segment.
Video Tip: Flash the beginning of your video with your name and title with written text. This makes it easier for people to Google your name and increases your brand recognition.
